You can help preserve Harwinton’s aesthetic rural qualities and protect its important natural areas by becoming a member of the Land Trust.  Membership contributions are greatly appreciated, but we also have plenty of work to do, and would welcome any help you could give on a variety of activities, including work parties.

Work parties are planned annually in order to maintain and enhance our properties.  Typical work involves clearing trails and vistas, building bridges and boardwalks, and posting signs.  Working in the outdoors is enjoyable for both young and old, and is a good way to make new friends who share your environmental values.  Members always leave with a sense of accomplishment and fulfillment.

You can learn more about what we do at our Annual Meeting.  The public is welcome to attend this meeting held each spring (time and place of the meeting is announced in our informational pamphlet mailed the prior winter).  Hope to see you there!
