Currently, the Harwinton Land Trust owns about 170 acres of natural open space. The public is most welcome to visit our properties and to enjoy our trails and wildlife observation areas. Five of our areas (Bull Pond Preserve, Forever Forest, Indian Meadow, Laurel Marsh, and Meadowview) have parking and easy access to hiking trails Land trust volunteers actively maintain our properties to keep them in great shape. Trails are generally flat and dry during normal weather conditions. They have been developed with seniors and families with young children in mind. The longest trail systems are about 2 miles back and forth.
Dogs on leash are most welcome. Mountain bikes are also allowed, but motorized vehicles and horses are not. Please be considerate of others and leave only footprints behind.
